Description: Individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) continue to face stigma and barriers to care resulting in lower quality of life. This Summit will focus on day to day realities expressed by individuals with lived experience and will highlight a few necessary components that individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) need to achieve a higher quality of life.
The Keynote will address the history and reality that individuals with SMI face every day.
Panel 1 will discuss the importance of socialization and a supportive community, housing, and employment.
Panel 2 will focus on a few innovative treatment modalities that are increasing access to individuals with SMI.
Resource tables will be available to learn about community organizations who's services reach individuals and families with SMI.
